Meet Shevon

Shevon is the founder of Common Thread Australia, with over 10 years of experience in business development, and marketing across architecture, engineering, and construction. Known for her exceptional communication skills and extroverted nature, Shevon thrives on connecting with people, building meaningful relationships, and showcasing leadership while empowering emerging leaders.

Her passion for meeting people and hearing their stories led her to create Common Thread Australia, a space designed to bring like-minded people together in meaningful ways.

Our Story

Common Thread began in 2022 as a Q&A interview series on LinkedIn, where Shevon interviewed leaders in the design, construction, and property industries. The series shared their experiences and valuable insights, helping others navigate the common challenges.

Recognising a gap in the market for casual, inclusive events, Shevon also introduced vision board workshops to encourage reflection and goal setting, and created a brunch series for women in the industry to build and establish a network of authentic and like-minded women.

Today, Common Thread offers a podcast and a series of purpose-led events, all designed to bring people together, share knowledge, and inspire a deeper sense of self.
